'Several years ago, I realized that most of my friends were in the arts and that many of the visual artists enjoyed cooking, talked a great deal about food and regularly hosted dinner parties. It occurred to me that this interest in creating art and creating food was a topic worthy of consideration. A marriage of the culinary and visual arts...where art and cuisine share many of the same formal concerns.'
